Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek today announced the launch of a major expansion project set to increase the resort’s available meeting space by 7,000 square feet by early May 2016.
The project, which began this month, is designed to enhance the resort’s current meeting space offerings with larger, more flexible spaces that will be adjacent to the resort building. The new spaces will allow meeting planners to customize space for events of up to 360 people.
The Bonnet Creek Ballroom (3,743 square feet) will be located on the Main Lobby Level and accommodates up to 360 people. The ballroom opens up to a 1,000-square-foot balcony overlooking the oasis pool and fountains on the lake. The Expedition Room (2,350 square feet) will be located on the main conference level and accommodates up to 220 people.
“The new space will strengthen our position as a top destination in the Orlando market for small and mid-size meetings and will complement our existing meeting spaces, including the 8,000 square foot Ponce de Leon ballroom,” said John F. Branciforte, area director of sales and marketing for Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek. “We have meticulously planned the addition to include enhanced features and maximum flexibility, creating a variety of options for planners to design the optimal environment for custom meetings, gatherings and events.”
Construction will take place adjacent to the resort, which will operate as normal throughout the duration of the addition.
