For guests who want to experience a taste of old Florida's natural preserves, our Eco-Tours offer guided canoe or kayak tours of Shingle Creek, the Headwaters to the Florida Everglades. Guests can learn about the history of Shingle Creek and observe the native species such as alligators, bald eagles, osprey and barred owls in their natural habitat.
Fishing excursions take place on the 40-acre Shingle Pond (parallel to Shingle Creek), which sits on the most remote section of Grande Lakes. Here, guests can fish from the shore or board Hyde Drift boats alongside a guide team and have a chance to reel in trophy Largemouth Bass.
Explore over 300 acres of Grande Lakes natural surroundings while locating and identifying dozens of Central Florida's native avian species. Walk or ride along with you guide as you look and listen to find some of our most elusive guests.
