Recognizing the important role neighborhood commercial districts play in the overall health of the city’s neighborhoods, in 2008 Mayor Buddy Dyer and the Orlando City Council created Orlando Main Streets.

Orlando Main Street districts are organizationally sound, economically viable and vibrant centers of commerce that collectively showcase Orlando as a thriving urban city. Our districts inspire community and visitor engagement while creating a unique sense of place and local business prosperity through collaborative partnerships with businesses, stakeholders and residents.
