High Speeds and Big Drops
For groups with coaster enthusiasts, Orlando offers more than 30 one-of-a-kind coasters with options at Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld® Orlando, Walt Disney World® Resort, LEGOLAND® Florida Resort and Fun Spot Orlando. With mild to wild experiences, participants can find a coaster that fits their speed.
ICON Park
Part of the Convention District’s ICON Park® entertainment complex, the Orlando StarFlyer isn’t just the tallest ride in Orlando. It’s the tallest swing ride in the world, towering over the I-Drive District at 450 feet. Hop aboard for some of the best views of downtown Orlando and our world-class theme parks paired with some surprisingly extreme thrills. The two-seater swings move up and down the tower as they spin, soaring at speeds up to 45 mph for an experience as exhilarating as it is beautiful.
Corporate groups at Fun Spot America can ascend to dizzying heights on the world’s tallest SkyCoaster, which stands 300 feet tall at the amusement park’s Kissimmee location. They’ll watch the coasters and thrill rides shrink away as they inch toward the top, then they’ll pull the release cord to initiate a terrifying plunge back to land. Orlando is also home to the world’s second tallest SkyCoaster (250 feet tall), located at Fun Spot America on International Drive.
Smashing and Axe Throwing
Attendees can unleash their inner lumberjack or Incredible Hulk at axe-throwing and smash room attractions throughout Orlando.
One of the best can be found at Dezerland Park: The Brass Axe & Darts, where groups can book anywhere from 30 minutes to two full hours of axe-flinging fun. Other local axe attractions include Bananas Axe Cabana, The Axe Trap, Epic Axe Throwing, Rockstar Axe Throwing and others.
While planning and attending meetings in Orlando are meant to be stress-free, booking time at one of Orlando’s smash room attractions is great way for attendees to blow off some steam after a successful day on the trade show floor. Also known as rage rooms, wreck rooms or even anger rooms, these unique venues invite participants to safely destroy a wide range of objects, including glass, using baseball bats, sledge hammers and other blunt weapons. The emphasis is on “safely,” as everyone will have to don protective gear before the smashing begins.
Some of the top choices include Rage Room Orlando north of Universal Orlando Resort, plus Orlando Rage Room and Bigfoot Axe Throwers & Rage Room in Kissimmee near Walt Disney World® Resort.
Flying and Soaring
If your group prefers sky-high views from a safely enclosed space, have them hop aboard The Orlando Eye by Merlin Entertainments. This ICON Park observation wheel stands 400 feet tall and offers equally thrilling views of the surrounding areas, including a jaw-dropping peek of Universal Orlando Resort’s newest theme park, Universal Epic Universe. Each ride lasts about 20 minutes, so they’ll have plenty of time to soak up the sights — and maybe a drink from the ground level bar — as they fly.
Attendees can also discover the awe-inspiring thrill of hang-gliding at Wallaby Ranch, the first full-time aerotow hang gliding flight park in the world. They’ll soar 2,000 feet in the air on a tandem discovery flight, pulled by an ultra-light towplane, then free fly with an experienced instructor over 100 acres of lush woodland and nature trails.
Before the meeting starts, have your attendees rise with the sun on a breathtaking hot air balloon ride, where they can enjoy panoramic views of Orlando’s theme parks, lakes and surrounding cities. What is seen may vary depending on your tour operator, weather conditions and other factors, but no matter where your group flies, it’s sure to be a magical experience. Top options near Orlando include Air Hound Adventures and Sky Pirates Ballooning, both minutes from Walt Disney World® Resort.
If a tethered adventure is more to your liking, drink in the candy-colored views aboard Aérophile at Disney Springs®. You can see up to 10 miles away on a clear day, all while bobbing 400 feet in the air aboard the world’s largest hand-painted helium balloon.
Piledriving and Tank Driving
Located in Longwood north of downtown Orlando, House of Champions gives groups two ways to enjoy — and participate in — authentic wrestling. First, they offer Real Wrestling Experience parties where your attendees can witness a private wrestling show, complete with WWE-style entrances for all of your attendees. Participants can even make an in-ring appearance if desired.
If that’s not enough action, book an hour or two of private ring time so your group can throw down. They also have a Pro Wrestling School with a free first session — perfect for any attendees dreaming of glory in the squared circle.
Leave the think tanks for real tanks at Tank America. It’s the only place in Florida where civilians get the opportunity to take command of a 17-ton FV433 Abbot tank, where they will negotiate hairpin turns and barrel through a 75-foot-long mud hole. They can even drive over and crush a car! Tank America also features a 2,100-square-foot, air-conditioned facility packed with authentic military decor, props and memorabilia. Tank America caters to corporate group and planners can find them east of downtown Orlando and north of Orlando International Airport.
With so many extreme attractions and experiences to include in the itinerary, meeting attendees need to pack their courage for their next Orlando meeting.
