One of the largest single-level convention hotels on the East Coast, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is expanding over the next 2 years adding a new 15-story tower with 500 new guest rooms, new dining options, outdoor networking spaces and new meeting venues. This includes a new boardroom and two multi-purpose rooms, adding to the current 220,000 square feet of dedicated meeting and function space already available.

Disney's Yacht Club Resort and Disney's Beach Club Resort are also expanding, with a new 28,000 square feet of shared convention space. These new facilities will bring the total amount of flexible meeting and event space at this popular resort location to 100,000 square feet, boasting a 16,000 square-foot ballroom that can be divided into eight dynamic breakout spaces. The expansion will also include three pre-function areas and two distinct gathering rotundas. Attendees will love these unique networking spots, where relaxation and reconnection can break up a long day of meetings.

New Services

Staying connected is key for event attendees, and now it’s even easier at Disney’s convention resorts. New Wi-Fi and hard-wired services are now available through redundant, high capacity Internet bandwidth, for groups of varying sizes – all for no or low cost, depending on the options selected by the meeting planners. This Wi-Fi means business, accommodating groups up to 5,000 utilizing multiple devices. Attendees will have no trouble any time they want to stream video, check email, share files, access apps or connect socially. These new services are available throughout the ballrooms, meeting rooms, exhibit halls and convention foyers of Disney Convention Resorts, in addition to the standard complimentary Wi-Fi service offered to Disney guests.

New Dining & Entertainment

Recently, Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney) completed a multi-year transformation into an exciting waterfront district for world-class shopping, unique dining and high-quality entertainment. This means attendees have plenty to explore after the day’s events close. For meeting planners, the new Disney Springs also offers multiple new venues for private events and dine-around options at some exciting new celebrity chef restaurants, including:

  • Morimoto Asia, offering a contemporary Pan-Asian experience with a unique twist by Chef Masaharu Morimoto
  • Chef Art Smith's Homecomin', a farm-to-fork locale inspired by the Sunshine State
  • STK Orlando, a modern steakhouse featuring a stunning rooftop for al fresco dining
  • Plus other unique venues like the new Paddlefish, Planet Hollywood Observatory, and The BOATHOUSE®

Conveniently located minutes from the Disney Convention Resorts, Disney Springs can be reached by complimentary, round-trip bus transportation available from each Walt Disney World Resort hotel. These new Resort enhancements will elevate the overall experience for meeting professionals and attendees alike at Walt Disney World Resort.
